‘drkknits’ is really just ‘kylie’.

by day, i have a phd in social theory and australian history and i work as a researcher and lecturer in a school of nursing in a university on the south east coast of australia.

by night i am a knitting tragic. if knit stitches were dollars i wouldnt have to work. i have a growing, high quality yarn stash and my favourite things to knit are socks and lace shawls, especially patterns that have traditional or historical origins.

this blog is about knitting, dogs and travel. but its also about me, my journey through life, how to reconcile the person i was with the person i am. sometimes it might get personal, sometimes political. but its always honest.
